This new limited-edition MR-G FROGMAN model commemorates both the 40th anniversary of G-SHOCK and the 30th anniversary of FROGMAN.
It comes with the durable fluorine rubber band in the impressive yellow color used for the first FROGMAN model, a second titanium bracelet-type replacement band, and a special tool for replacement. Band replacement is quick and easy. Simply press a button on the back of the lug and slide the pin out. The band is made of deep-layer hardened pure titanium with a diamond-like coating (DLC) and a gold-colored ion-plated (IP) finish for outstanding surface hardness.
The face of the watch also uses yellow accents, which provide excellent visibility under water. The bold hour markers of this model are covered with a thick layer of hand-applied luminescent yellow neobrite paint that glows brightly in the dark.
The sapphire crystal screw on case back uses gold color vapor deposition to depict the FROGMAN iconic frog character.
The FROGMAN MRG-BF1000 is a real diver's watch with ISOstandard 200m water resistance and a titanium exterior that has been painstakingly finished to perfection.
The FROGMAN lineup hit the market in 1993 and soon became popular due to its asymmetrical form, distinctive design, its outstanding waterproof performance, and the frog character on its screw-on back.
The complex form was originally designed to be formed of resin, but it eventually became a titanium timepiece for the MR-G lineup. A higher quality finish was achieved by dividing segments into separate parts for polishing. The watch consists of more than 70 parts, including the O-rings that ensure FROGMAN's high water resistance and the shock absorber.
The high-strength protective structure is made possible by placing fluorine rubber buffers between the sections of the multi-part bezel. The result is a face guard configuration that protects the crystal. In terms of functionality, the watch is equipped with a Bluetooth® communication function and three dual-coil motors for high-speed movement of the hands for stress-free operation.
When diving, the hour and minute hands work together to display the dive time (in minutes) in an easy-to-read format. An original phone app allows easy configuration of tidal settings for approximately 3,300 points around the world. You can even use your phone to view dive logs in a format that allows detailed confirmation of the data measured by the watch. It also features a special-purpose MR-G module with gold-plated circuit retainer plates.
