These new models pack smartphone linking and Tough Solar capabilities into the GA-2100, a model that inherits a host of original G-SHOCK design concepts.
The layout of the circuit boards of these models was optimized to allow for the increase in the number of components required to support higher functionality. This, combined with the carbon core guard structure, makes it possible to keep the sizes of these models equivalent to previous models.
The colors of the cases and bands of these models are “first color” hues of the original 5600 Series. The navy blue, green models and the all-black model feature minimalist coloring.
